First, grab your cocktail shaker. Grab some fresh mint leaves, and clap them in your palms to release its aromas. Add the mint, lime juice, simple syrup, rum, and some ice. Shake your cocktail. In your glass add some more mint and some ice. Pour your cocktail into your prepared glass. Fill the remaining with soda water and stir. Garnish with some lime wheels and more mint.

A Mint Julep is based on whiskey. The most common type of whiskey used for this particular cocktail is bourbon whiskey. This beverage typically tastes sweet and consists of crushed or shaved ice. Our version of the mint julep is made with Jack Daniels. Jack Daniels is not a bourbon, it is known as a Tennessee whiskey. However, we think this version of the mint julep is quite delicious.
Mint Julep Ingredients
A bunch of fresh mint leaves
Simple syrup (1 ½ oz )
Jack Daniels (2 oz )
Garnish: Mint leaves
In your glass, clap and add a bunch of mint leaves. Pour your simple syrup and muddle with the mint. Add your whiskey and some ice. Stir your cocktail so it mixes well. Then add more crushed ice to form a dome shape. Garnish with some mint and enjoy.
