Paloma cocktail

The Paloma cocktail is a common beverage in Mexico. It is not as popular worldwide as the Margarita. However, it is one of the most delicious tequila based cocktails to try. This beverage is very simple to make with simple ingredients. The taste is very light and refreshing to drink. It is a perfect edition for a hot summer day to quench your thirst while keeping it buzzy.

  • Tequila (2 ounces)
  • Lime juice (1/2 ounce)ย
  • Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (4 ounces)ย
  • Club Soda (Fill to the top)
  • Salt Rim (Optional)

Direction

(Optional) First, if you would like a salt rim , dip your glass with lime juice and then dip your glass to some coarse salt. The lime juice allows the salt to stick on the glass.

ย Grab your cocktail shaker. Add your tequila, lime juice, and grapefruit juice into your shaker. Shake your cocktail well with ice. After, strain out your cocktail into your glass filled with ice. Fill up the remaining of your glass with club soda and stir the content together. Garnish with a piece of grapefruit.ย

Cantarito cocktail

The Cantarito has become one of the trendiest cocktails to make. This beverage originates from Mexico and is also spin off on the Paloma cocktail. The difference between the two cocktails is that the Cantarito has a few additions to it to make it a special twist. It is quite delicious to drink and a very festive beverage. As you may already know, the best stories always begin with tequila.ย

You will need your cocktail shaker. Add the tequila, lime juice, lemon juice, orange juice, and grapefruit juice into your shaker. Strain your content into your glass filled with ice. Fill the remaining of your glass with club soda. Lastly garnish with a grapefruit piece and a lemon slice.
